Cookie policy
This page describes what the Polonis Refractories company website at https://polonisrefractories.com and https://polonisrefractories.pl and the app at https://polonisrefractories.app store on your device, why and for how long.
What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small piece of text that a website stores in your browser. The browser sends it back to that website on later visits.
Browser storage works in a similar way, but the browser does not send its content to the server. Only the page open in your browser uses it. Part of this storage works in one tab only and disappears when you close the tab.
We use only strictly necessary storage
The company website and the app store on your device only what is strictly necessary for them to work: for signing in, for remembering the language and the appearance, for this notice, for remembering the answer to the suggestion to add the app to the home screen and for sending photos that wait for a connection. We use no analytics or advertising cookies. There are no cookies or other storage of other companies. We also load no fonts, scripts or images from other companies’ servers.
Strictly necessary storage needs no consent from you. This is laid down in Article 399(3) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law of 12 July 2024 (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej). That is why we do not ask for consent, but show the cookie notice once, with the “Got it” button.
What we store
The company website stores only the chosen language and appearance and the fact that the cookie notice was hidden, as the first three rows of the table show. The app creates the other items, only when you sign in or are signed in. The browser keeps the storage of each of our addresses separately, which is why the cookie notice appears once at each address.

The browser may delete these items earlier. Safari deletes some of them after only 7 days; this does not apply to the app added to the home screen.
Signing out removes your sign-in and the app’s data from the device. Only the items that belong to the browser, not to a person, remain: the language and the appearance chosen on this device, the random browser identifier, the app’s files, the notification permission in the browser’s settings, the hidden cookie notice and the answer “Done” to the suggestion to add the app to the home screen.
When photos for the “Photo deposit” wait on the device, the app asks before signing out whether to remove them. If the sign-in ends without your involvement, the photos wait for your next sign-in on this device and are sent then; another person’s sign-in removes them.
How to delete them
You delete these items in your browser’s settings, usually in the privacy section, as “cookies and site data”. You can delete the data of our addresses only: polonisrefractories.com, polonisrefractories.pl and polonisrefractories.app.
After you delete them:
- you are signed out on this device and sign in again with a code or a link from a message;
- the remembered device and quick access stop working, so you set the App PIN again;
- pages are shown in the language set on your device until you choose a language again;
- pages are shown in the light or dark mode set on your device until you choose an appearance again;
- the cookie notice appears again;
- at your next sign-in the app treats the browser as new and notifies you about a sign-in in a new browser;
- photos that were waiting to be sent disappear from the device and do not reach the “Photo deposit”;
- the suggestion to add the app to the home screen appears again after signing in on a phone.
You can also block cookies in your browser. The company website then still works, but remembers neither the language nor that you hid this notice, and you cannot sign in to the app.
